Dan was my friend for more than 50 years. He was my High School best friend's love interest. He was my husband's TKE roommate at NCSU and introduced me to my wonderful husband. He was our best man at our wedding. He was like a brother to us and we loved each other. After graduation, we kept up with him and visited him in Morehead, St. Petersburg, Tampa and Savannah. If you did not keep keep in touch with him, you never knew Dan. He was a great guy and it was an honor to be his friend to the end. We talked to him on the phone 2 days before he passed.
