Late Fri and Sat nights at the Char Grill watching those juicy sizling burgers being fried up on the grill through the big picture windows will always be remembered. This business has been active in Raleigh since 1959. Now they have 10 locations around the state. I never leave Raleigh after a visit without stopping by and getting one of the best hamburger steak sandwiches I have eaten. Weekends in Raleigh as a high school student almost always included a trip here to watch the coolest cars in town...always a parade on Fridays and Saturdays.  I was a student at NCSU for a while before moving to Oregon and taking a break from studying to go to the Char Grill was a weekend tradition for many students.

Hey Deb,

I love England too.  My wife and I travel as much as possible. The only problem with England, Scotland and Ireland is that they are expensive.  We go to Spain and Portugal more than any other destination.  We both speak fluent Spanish so travel there is not a challenge. I have some good Spanish friends that I went to school with at the U. of Valencia.  We still keep in touch and travel together when we are in Spain. Hope to see you at the reunion.
